I bet it's a bittersweet moment for the keepers - being able to use their knowledge to help Anne have a much deserved retirement, compared to the memories of their time losing their elephants when they had to send them to France

good point on the other animals Joan lest hope all this publicity motivates them to start re homing them as well

i'm hoping that this is going to help bring about the end to wild animals performing in circuses.

fabulous pictures, thanks Mazzy. She looks happier already  bless her. Ant and I are planning a Longleat trip either before the summer holls or at the end of them (will be manic during holidays so will avoid at all costs) as I've not been since 2008

Thanks Mazzy, lovely video, always interesting to see animals being transported, it's a real skill to be able to do it safely but Anne was very cooperative.

Fair play to YWP they really are proving themselves, what they've achieved with the Romanian lions is incredible.

I guess that's the same Woburn lorry we borrowed to move our lions!

Poor thing she does look old, I hope she has a good few years and maybe a friend or two.
